The Heart's Effort

In Hebrew, ‘paying attention’ is expressed as ‘putting your heart’.

Paying attention is the conscious decision to engage our hearts – the very essence of our being. We have the choice to “put” it in a certain place or direction. If you consistently find you don't and keep gravitating to something else, you believe it is essential for your survival - not God!

In many ways, worship is paying attention to God, giving him our time and “putting our hearts” with Him… being present, engaged, and focused. We remember God’s worth and come towards Him to give Him the honor He deserves.

We may often think about God, but are we thinking with God? Or separately from Him? Are we truly present with Him? Does He have our ear? Are we inviting Him to speak, and giving Him room and space to do so? Do you ask Him what is on His heart, or what He would like to express to you? Does He have your undivided attention in your times together? Are you perceiving Him, or your own issues, your own life?

Do you trust His grace enough to increase your honesty with Him? Do you believe He loves you, sees your future, knows your temperament, and how to mature you step-by-step? Will He walk with you gracefully, so that you can stand firmly in His love? Can you ‘pay attention’ to ‘put your heart’ into your seeds of destiny? Why wait any longer for the best life He has to offer???

Power Shower

God is love,

In Him there is no shadow of turning,

He meets all of our yearning,

With learning and power,

Immersed in a holy shower;

Cleansing us,

Setting us apart,

To live from the heart,

According to His will, good pleasure & abundant treasure;

Never to loose,

Always to gain,

That which He claims

Will glorify His name,

Lifting us out of what's vain,

Playing no games,

Living the same life of love,

As Jesus did,

When He first came.
